Amy Villarreal brings over a decade of legal experience, sharp organizational skills, and a deep commitment to the clients she serves. A San Antonio native, Amy understands the community and the people who call it home — and that understanding shapes everything she does. Amy holds a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Texas State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from St. Mary's University, where she also completed a semester abroad in London. Her academic foundation laid the groundwork for a career that has taken her through every facet of the justice system.
Before joining the legal field, Amy spent nearly five years as a Crime Victim Advocate with the Bexar County District Attorney's Office, where she served as a bridge between victims, prosecutors, and the court system. That experience gave her something no classroom can teach: a genuine understanding of what it means to navigate the justice system during the hardest moments of a person's life. She carries that compassion with her every day.
Amy went on to spend four years as a Legal Assistant at Schmidt and Wenzel, P.C., developing expertise in family law, estate planning, probate, and civil litigation. She then stepped into a combined Paralegal and Office Manager role at the Law Office of Kate Soulsby, where she honed her ability to manage complex cases, coordinate discovery, draft pleadings, and keep a busy legal practice running smoothly.
Amy's work ethic is matched only by her heart. Outside the office, she is a devoted and enthusiastic aunt who cherishes time with her niece and nephew. She is also a long-time volunteer with the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, an organization close to her community and her heart. Her energy, reliability, and genuine care for others make her an invaluable part of the Cruz Day Law team — and a familiar, friendly face for every client who walks through the door.
