ABOUT SHAY BARROSO

Shay has been an integral part of Hector's team since August 2017, beginning her journey as a receptionist and growing into her current role as legal assistant. Her dedication to our clients and deep understanding of our practice areas make her an invaluable resource for both our attorneys and the families we serve.
​
A Brownsville, Texas native, Shay brings the same compassion she shows in her personal life to her professional work. She shares her home with six rescued dogs and two shelter cats, reflecting her commitment to helping those who need it most. This natural inclination to care for others translates seamlessly into her client interactions, where she provides support and guidance during some of the most challenging times in people's lives.

When not assisting clients or supporting our legal team, Shay enjoys staying active through hiking and running with her dogs, finding peace at the beach, tending to her plants, and unwinding with a good book and a glass of wine. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology, with approximately one year remaining in her studies. This academic focus enhances her understanding of the human elements involved in legal matters and strengthens her ability to connect with clients facing difficult circumstances.
